Looking for first hand experience

I think that gaining first hand experience and meeting book designers in real life and in their working environment will really help me with my project. I am going to contact diffrent book publishing houses in London to see if I can get a chance to see what goes on in a publishing house.

The publishing houses that I plan to contact are Bloomsbury Publishing, HarperCollins and Olympia Publishers. I was planning on contacting Penguin however, they do not allow any interviews with their employees as it hinders their work, especially since bookd designing has a lot of deadlines, etc...
