After researching on what genre of books that I want to use for my EPQ, I decided that I will be using 20th century classic dystopian fiction. These books are not mainly targeted at teenagers, which I think gives me the challenge that I need to do my EPQ.

I picked up the Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and 1984 by George Orwell at my college's library. I haven't read a lot of books from my chosen genre and time period so I will be reading them from today on and throughout the holidays to familiarise myself with the story, characters, etc. and help me generate ideas for the design of the books cover.
I will also be listening to the audiobook of Ray Bradbury's Farhenheit 451. I think that audiobooks will be helpful for me because I can listen to the book whilst doing my AS Fine Art coursework since I'll only be drawing and painting. I am actually considering in getting the audiobooks for The Handmaid's Tale and 1984. I think that this will especially be practical over the summer holidays when I'll be travelling a lot, this way I don't have to carry the physical copy of the books.
