Meeting With My Supervisor

Today I met with my Supervisor, Linda, to discuss my ideas for my EPQ project. Originally, I wanted to do a dissection relating to how classic literature has influenced today's pop culture. However, I decided to do an artefact and re-design a book cover because I think that it compliments the course that I want to take in University, which is Graphic design and Communication/lllustration, and prepare me for it. Also, it combines both of that things that I am passionate about which is Art and Design and Literature.

The main goal of my project is to encourage Young Adult (YA) readers to pick up and read texts that are not neccesarily targeted at them. Now that I decided on my goal, I need to narrow it down and find out which novel I want to use, what genre and the time period it comes from. At the moment, I'm thinking of doing classic Dystopian novels like"1984" by George Owell or Gothic such as "The Castle of Otranto" by Horace Walpole.
